Oh no, they’re doing construction here again. Noise and dirt are back just in time for the start of vacation. Someone really knows how to scare guests away.
Update 5/11
Bright sunshine and plenty of campers on the grounds. Unfortunately, the water—full of slime and algae—doesn’t exactly invite you to go swimming. And why the beach bar isn’t open remains the operators’ secret. How many stars should this campground have?
Update 3/29. Water problems again. This time it’s not the lake—nothing’s coming out of the pipes. Truly premium.
Update 1/4: Water seems to be a real problem for Breebronne. First, an additional pump was installed because the Watercubes were barely above the water’s surface. Today, water is gushing out of the sewer. It stinks to high heaven.
Update Dec. 30: Especially at this time of year, when darkness falls early, it’s noticeable that the park’s paths could use significantly more lighting. Combined with cars driving too fast, this isn’t just unpleasant for pedestrians—it can also be dangerous.
Update New Year’s Eve 2023/2024:
Emergency at the Breebronne Vacation Park. The fire department couldn’t get in because the gate apparently wouldn’t open. The responders quickly “cut through” the gate to be able to help. Valuable time was lost nonetheless. But what would happen in the event of a medical emergency, such as a stroke or heart attack? Emergency doctors do not carry the equipment needed to gain access. Au weia, hier wird schon wieder gebaut. Lärm und Dreck sind passend zum Ferienbeginn zurück. Da versteht es jemand, Gäste zu vergraulen.
Update 11.5.
Strahlender Sonnenschein und Camper satt auf dem Platz. Leider lädt das Wasser mit Glibber und Algen nicht zum Baden ein. Und warum die Strandbar nicht geöffnet ist, bleibt das Geheimnis der Betreiber. Wieviel Sterne soll der Platz haben?
Update 29.3. Wieder Probleme mit dem Wasser. Diesmal nicht der See - es läuft nichts aus den Leitungen. Echt Premium.
Update 4.1. Das Wasser scheint für Breebronne ein echtes Problem zu sein. Erst wurde eine Zusatzpumpe aufgestellt, weil die Watercubes nur noch knapp über der Wasseroberfläche standen. Heute drückt es Wasser aus dem Abwasserkanal. Es stinkt bestialisch.
Update 30.12.: Vor allem zu dieser Jahreszeit mit früh einbrechender Dunkelheit fällt auf, dass es im Park deutlich mehr Licht auf den Wegen vertragen würde. In Kombination mit zu schnell fahrenden Pkw ist das für Fußgänger nicht nur unangenehm, sondern kann auch gefährlich werden.
Update Jahreswechsel 2023/2024:
Notfall im Ferienpark Breebronne. Die Feuerwehr kommt nicht rein, weil sich die Schranke offenbar nicht öffnet. Die Helfer “kappen” die Schranke kurzerhand, um helfen zu können. Wertvolle Zeit wurde trotzdem verloren. Was aber wäre bei einem medizinischen Notfall wie einem Schlaganfall oder Herzinfarkt? Notärzte haben nicht das Gerät dabei, sich Zugang verschaffen zu können. Dann wird ggf. nicht nur Zeit verloren, sondern es stehen Leben auf dem Spiel. Gibt es dafür keine gesetzlichen Regelungen?Maasbree in Limburg

Poort van ZeelandBeautiful park! Everything was neat and tidy, and the park’s location is great. Combined with our 3-day visit to Concert at Sea, the park and our Tiny House were ideal. We could easily walk to the small beach through the back entrance to cool off in the waters of the Haringvliet.

Mooi park! Alles was netjes en de ligging van het park is prima. In combinatie met 3 daags bezoek aan Concert at Sea, was dat park en ons Tiny House ideaal. Via de achteringang makkelijk naar het strandje lopen om verkoeling te zoeken in het water van de Haringvliet.

Ballum CampingA really nice campground—pleasant, with large, tree-lined areas and spotless restrooms. The managers are very helpful if you run into any problems (which happened to us—we had a car issue...).

Très chouette camping, agréable, avec de grands espaces arborés, et des sanitaires impeccables. Les gérants sont très disponibles en cas de problème (ce qui fut notre cas, problème de véhicule...).
