Vakantiepark De NollenWe stayed at the campsite for a few days for the first time on New Year's Eve and immediately booked the pitch for our summer vacation. We liked it very much. The pitches are big enough, the sanitary facilities are clean and even have underfloor heating. We picked up something from Paviljon8 twice, the pizza is really recommended, we've had worse pizzas at the Italian restaurant. We even got croissants at 10.30 one morning, even though we hadn't ordered in advance. The staff are always courteous and very friendly. The campsite is highly recommended, it's nice when the children have fun in the playground, our children are already big and were once small, so you know what it's like ;) We will definitely be back!

Wir waren an Silvester das erste Mal für ein paar Tage auf dem Campingplatz und haben da direkt den Platz für unseren Sommerurlaub gebucht. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Die Stellplätze sind ausreichend groß, die Sanitäranlagen sind sauber und sind sogar mit Fußbodenheizung ausgestattet. Wir haben zweimal etwas vom Paviljon8 abgeholt, die Pizza ist wirklich zu empfehlen, da haben wir beim Italiener schon schlechtere Pizzen bekommen. Wir haben sogar an einem Morgen um 10.30 Uhr noch Croissants bekommen, obwohl wir nicht vorbestellt hatten. Das Personal ist immer zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Der Campingplatz ist sehr empfehlenswert, es ist schön, wenn die Kinder Spaß auf dem Spielplatz haben, unsere Kinder sind schon groß und waren auch mal klein, da weiß man ja wie es ist ;) Wir kommen bestimmt wieder vorbei!

Recreatiepark de PaalbergHow family camping? How service? After 25 years, our family (30 people) was suddenly not allowed to book 7 pitches and 3 bungalows for 2025 during last Pentecost weekend because the rates were not yet known. This was never a problem in other years. Also no service by e.g. offering to inform us when that would be the case. Consequence: our desired pitches already occupied. We sent an e-mail to complain about this and received a reply after 1 day: they were going to look into the possibilities. Until today nothing more heard. After calling on our part, we received an impersonal standard response by e-mail. It mentioned new booking rules: we can already book in January 2025 for Pentecost 2026. Curious because booking in May 2024 for Pentecost 2025 was not possible. We were also advised to just look at 1 of the other resorts to see if there is still room there. I think the designation "Royal" has led to complacency. Oh yes, we were also always good for about 50 visits to the restaurant.

Hoezo familiecamping? Hoezo service? Na 25 jaar mocht onze familie (30 personen) ineens tijdens afgelopen Pinksterweekend geen 7 kampeerplaatsen en 3 bungalows boeken voor 2025 want de tarieven waren nog niet bekend. Dat was andere jaren nooit een probleem. Ook geen service door bijv. aan te bieden om ons te informeren wanneer dat wel het geval zou zijn. Gevolg: onze gewenste plaatsen al bezet. Hierover een klachtmail gezonden waarop na 1 dag antwoord: men ging kijken naar mogelijkheden. Tot vandaag niets meer vernomen. Na telefoontje onzerzijds alsnog een onpersoonlijke standaardreactie per mail. Hierin werd melding gemaakt van nieuwe boekingsregels: we kunnen in januari 2025 al boeken voor Pinksteren 2026. Merkwaardige want boeken in mei 2024 voor Pinksteren 2025 was niet mogelijk. Ook werd ons het advies gegeven om maar op 1 van de andere vakantieparken te kijken of daar nog plaats is. Volgens mij heeft het predicaat “Koninklijk” geleid tot zelfgenoegzaamheid. O ja, we waren ook altijd goed voor zo’n 50 bezoekjes aan het restaurant.

Camping La Presqu’îleVery nice CP on Lac de Serre-Poncon with wonderful pitches overlooking the lake. Clean sanitary facilities. Dogs allowed. Baguettes and croissants can be ordered in the restaurant for the next day. The reception also speaks English 👍 unfortunately the lake had little water, so we had to walk a long way down the steep slope to the lake. The view of Saint Michel is beautiful. Bouncy castle and play area for children. Nice pool.

Sehr schöner CP am Lac de Serre-Poncon mit herrlichen Stellplätzen mit Blick auf den See. Saubere Sanitäranlagen. Hunde erlaubt. Im Restaurant können Baguettes und Croissants für den nächsten Tag bestellt werden. Die Rezeption spricht auch Englisch 👍 der See hatte leider wenig Wasser, somit mussten wir weit den steilen Hang runtergehen zum See. Blick auf Saint Michel ist wunderschön. Hüpfburg und Spielbereich für Kinder. Schöner Pool.

Camping Seasonova Le MartinetGreat site for cycle routes and hiking. Very peaceful location on the banks of the Loire. Briare is a lovely little town best known for the aqueduct designed by Gustav Eiffel. As others have said the campsite is a little tired but has all the essentials.
