Absolutely recommendable! You can do everything you want with the family. You can get to the city of Zadar in 1 hour, e.g. to go to the large Supernova Zadar shopping center. You should take a look at the website, then you will be convinced.

Actually quite okay, but the price-performance ratio is not right at all. 1. difficult to reach with a caravan or large mobile in Povljana. 2. registration took forever. 3. there are a lot of weeds on the pitches and there is little shade. In the first row there are lots of huge Morelos across the road, which you can look at instead of the sea. 4 Wash houses are nice but you often have to queue for a long time and there are some shortcomings. 5 The prices at the campsite are a disaster, 6 euros for a Coke/Fanta 0.25l in the restaurant is simply far too much. You can certainly imagine what the bill looks like for a family of 5 people and an outside temperature of 35 degrees. Eating out is simply no fun. Apart from the service, which also left a lot to be desired. 6 In general, the prices there are far too high, whether it's for sports activities or the supermarket, ice cream, the bakery, etc. 7 The sunbeds on the beach are free, which is great, but unfortunately many sunbeds are blocked with towels and sometimes the whole day without anyone using them. We were lucky once in 14 days that a family went home early and we were able to use their loungers, otherwise no chance. 8. for me, dogs belong on the dog beach and not on the normal beach. But nobody is interested here. I was even barked at by a loose dog. That's just not so nice. 9. the pool is nice, but there is no lifeguard. 10. the animation is not that great. A bit of children's disco and that's it for the most part. 11. the location of the campsite is really nice but if you don't have a car/moped you are lost. Especially with the completely exorbitant prices. But since there are people on this site who rent a mobile home for 12000€ for 14 days. There is certainly some more positive feedback about the site. I find it too expensive and not worthy of a 5-star campsite. Unfortunately, Avalona still has some catching up to do! Thank you for your reply. I have just checked the price. An Avalona Luxury Mare Glamping Villa with 5 people in August 2026 on your site is just over €12000. I'm a bit surprised that you don't know your prices. But perhaps this is an opportunity to revise them. Apart from that, your campsite is really nice and of course it's complaining on a high level, but with 5 stars and the prices.....

You can see the "signature" of Valamar! Top sanitary facilities, great location, right on the beach and the promenade. Everything you need for proper camping was available. Unfortunately the weather was not so "Croatian". But that's not Valamar's fault

We were here in June 2024 a week on vacation, camping and environment is super, but the chalet we were in (no 63) was really a travesty, chairs and sofas are really in need of replacement, the garden chairs outside sat better. It was a chalet with dog, but there was no place for a bench. And ours and the neighbor's terrace, also a dog chalet, were very close to each other, not really convenient if the dogs do not match. Photo was taken on the neighbor's terrace. Service is good.

Beautiful green setting, very comfortable signature cottage. Beautiful interlude. Excellent restaurant.

Accommodation (Hackfort 6) spacious and clean, ideal for families. Village surrounded by greenery, quiet and conveniently located for visiting the Netherlands by car. Well-kept playground and pleasant indoor pool (shame about the non-functioning slide). Helpful and friendly staff.

Was a nice vacation except for these things.... Very unfortunate that it was very dirty.... arrive and have to clean right away... Very dusty, everything in the kitchen cabinets, drawers, cutlery, was dirty, even in the microwave... Leather sofa was broken, earwigs, hair elastics lying in the grass... Hope to find a cleaner house next time for that money.... Positive is that the next day the outside lamp was replaced right away after an email contact.

Very pleased with the friendliness, cleanliness and location along the Oer. Wonderful. 20 minutes from Vianden.

Enjoyed this place immensely with a bunch of teenagers. Just after the peak of high season. Great activities in the area. The drive there is always beautiful. Beautiful views. Toilet was clean, food was adequate, young co-owner is super friendly and staff helpful. Plenty to do for kids and teens, giving you a break yourself. At an activity at the campground, the teens were sent back first so the little kids could go first there the group of teens after. This was very nice for them. For us an excellent one-time campsite. Many Dutch people and therefore quickly made new friends by the youth.

Nous venons de passer 9 jours dans ce camping agréable, sanitaire propre, entretenu. Logement cahute de randonneurs bien équipé pour 5 personnes, l’adresse est retenu pour l’année prochaine. The campground is very nice, by the sea, with shade from the plants. The facilities are clean and the staff is very nice. It takes about 20 minutes to go to the village by foot and by bike I think 15. We liked it very much.

We spent a lovely week at the campsite. The staff were friendly and helpful. Entertainment, swimming pool and playground for children available. Knowledge of French is an advantage.
