First of all, if you’re afraid of spiders, this campground isn’t for you.
Otherwise, the campground is in a great location. Downtown La Flotte is a 10-minute walk away, buses to La Rochelle are a 5-minute walk away, and the Intermarché is a 5-minute walk through the gate behind the campground, which is supposed to close at 7 p.m.
We stayed in a tent lodge on stilts. The cleaning was just average. But we were able to check in earlier than scheduled. Thanks to the campground’s front desk.
The campground restaurant is very, very, very good. The staff is energetic and friendly. The mussels and fries were perfect.
The pool is heated to 27 degrees. It gets crowded, but with a little patience, you can always find a lounge chair.
One downside of the pool is that there’s no supervision to prevent ball games, which sometimes escalate into balls being thrown directly at other swimmers’ heads—but the biggest issue is the e-cigarette smokers who don’t hesitate to vape right on their lounge chairs. Fortunately, this doesn’t happen all the time.
I recommend this campground even with these minor inconveniences.

A small campground with a modern restroom building in the center that’s fully equipped. Toilet paper was even provided as standard in the restroom stalls—something we hadn’t seen anywhere else during this summer vacation. However, the toilet paper did run out regularly later in the afternoon and in the evening. There were plenty of restrooms and showers, so we never really had to wait.

Next to the restroom building is a nice playground, and there’s plenty of space for children to play.

The swimming pool next to the campground is a big plus. We made good use of it during our stay.

The location is also ideal. The supermarket and other stores are within walking distance, so you don’t have to order bread at the front desk—you can just pick it up yourself.

Finally, the Italian restaurant across the street is definitely worth a visit. All in all, a lovely campground equipped with every convenience.

Pros:

Cons:
- The pool is too small, and it gets really chaotic there. Since some guests jump around really recklessly and show zero consideration for people with children in the pool, we actually found it to be somewhat dangerous at times!
- Campsites are really uneven

Also, keep in mind that 97% of the campers are Dutch, which isn’t a bad thing, though!

A warm and welcoming staff who went out of their way to help us and gave excellent advice about the region. (Thanks for telling us where to inflate our car tires! 😄) A picturesque and relaxing spot, perfect for exploring the coast, of course, as well as the beautiful rolling countryside. Pure bliss!

Personeel probeert ook diverse andere talen te spreken, zelfs NL!!

Stayed here via Eurocamp for 5 days, 2 adults and our 4 children (8-20). It's a nice site in an amazing valley location. A small shop and restaurant, two pools, the main pool was quite busy in the hot afternoons, but just families all having fun, lots of people come and go so we could always wait a little while and get sunbeds if none immediately available. We had read a previous review that the main pool was very cold, but didn't experience that it was pleasantly cool, not at all cold. The site is a great base for walks in the hills and cycling, we found great routes for both on Komoot. Found good nearby vegetarian food at the Murauer Brewery hotel and restaurant in Murau. Would definitely stay here again

Tucked away in the woods, friendly staff, and a beautiful spot. I was the only one on the tent field—it was very nicely set up with chairs, a fire pit, and a small cabin. The restrooms are okay, and there are plenty of activities for kids. I’d love to come back!

The campground is really great. We had booked a more expensive caravan with a river view, but the area around us was packed with caravans and tents, so the river view disappeared. The map showed an unobstructed river view, but that’s not the case. If you have teenagers, there aren’t any suitable activities for them. We heard from many parents—and experienced this ourselves—that the kids are sent away as early as 9:30 p.m. with the instruction to go back to their parents. That’s not a solution because they just want to have fun, and besides, noise was allowed until 11:00 p.m. I think it would be a good idea for them to create a program or a separate area for this age group.
