Wellness, tranquility, outdoor kitchen

Shady campsite and beautiful leisure park (owned by the commune). Several electricity failures during the week, but we were told nothing, as the connections were not up to standard. The snack bar staff are very friendly, but the campsite staff aren't very smiley. Daytime entertainment too sparse. Description not up to standard. Disappointed

We booked 24 hours before arriving. 4 nights and we would have liked to stay longer 😌 The campsite is quiet, little entertainment, shady, close to shops, close to the beach and with a small heated pool. Well-defined and spacious pitches. This is what we were looking for and we were not disappointed! I found the sanitary facilities clean and regularly cleaned. The only downside was not being able to choose the water temperature for the showers. It was fine for me, but I can understand why it might be too hot for some people. On our last night, there was a heavy thunderstorm and rain, so we asked to stay a little later than midday to dry our things, and the staff were understanding. The bar closes 2 days a week, so we didn't mind. If you're looking for a festive campsite with lively evenings and a miniclub, don't bother. Our only comment would be to leave the pool open a little later :)

Camping des Randonneurs but not at all a hiker atmosphere, manager not friendly: call the day of departure at 11:10 "I'm calling you because I passed your pitch and I wondered if they had understood that you had to leave before noon". Yes, they had understood correctly, but they had never received a call from a campsite where they had stayed to tell them to leave, let alone 1 hour before... So they claimed an arrival time of 12:30 but no vehicle entered the campsite until at least 1pm. I would like to point out that we were respectful of the environment and our neighbors, so it seems to me that there was no justification for such behavior. What's more, if there really was an imperative, some kind communication would have been welcome. Beyond the welcome, the campsite is more a family campsite and more "business" than backpacker (cf. atmosphere, noisy swimming pool, unusual accommodation). It's a pity, because there are some very nice hikes in the area. EDIT following the somewhat misleading reply: Minibus = van (renault traffic, just as long as the station wagon parked on our neighbor's site) Tent = part of the roof which is part of the van (which is closed when we arrive, of course). I didn't want to go back over our arrival, and once again, what a welcome! We did indeed make a mistake on the booking, for which we take responsibility (my credit card was rejected 2 times, we did it again a 3rd time). Instead of being friendly, the manager once again opted for surprising communication. He sees us arrive in a van and tells him we're in a van, to which he replies: "please take your things, put them on the pitch and leave your van outside". Surprised, I explain that I can't, our bed is in the van, we have nothing to sleep outside. Once again, he said: "Please take your things, put them on the pitch and leave your van outside". Even though there were regulars after us, it's possible to say things in a friendly way... As for the regulars, we've met them too, they are indeed families and not backpackers. I don't doubt that there are some (since we are among them), but in terms of friendliness, clientele and marketing positioning (unusual accommodation and swimming pool), it doesn't look like it.

Superb campsite, well maintained 👍

The camping was good and the tent was nice. Nice that there was air conditioning and large refrigerator/freezer. The hammock was also a plus.

We came back here for the 2nd time. Enjoying the peace, the animals and the hospitality at the Hinde. The lines are short and the contact with Dora and Rene is very accessible. The plumbing is neat and tidy and you can also order delicious sandwiches. So far we have never seen such beautiful grass on a campsite, wonderful on our bare feet between the blades of grass. Our daughter enjoys the animals and helping out and she can ride around all day on all the go-karts and bikes. A wonderful place where we would love to come back again!

Beautiful location, quiet. Amenities are basic but neat. No WiFi. But table tennis, playground and campfire. To be honest, the accommodations do start to get worse. The log cabin we were in, for the 3rd time, now has a leaky roof, last night clothes rained wet unfortunately. Our aunt had also rented the tipi, unfortunately it turns out it is not waterproof either, so the drops fall on your face when it rains. These are of course things that are not very nice. But I assume these things will be improved next year.
