Camping Des RandonneursCondition of caravan dusty, outdoor living room sloping and too small. Lack of clear explanations (breakfast procedure). A very pleasant place, but we're left wanting more - too bad we could do so much better.

Camping Le Coin TranquilleBeautiful campground with very helpful and friendly staff. Beautifully landscaped, lots of flowers, beautiful trees. Beautiful surroundings. Many attractions are a short drive (45-60 min.). Campground still felt small, but this is the maximum size for a somewhat small and manageable campground as far as we are concerned. Plumbing was clean, showers always hot. Good restaurant. A little too much animation for our taste, but 'doable'.

Prachtige omgeving. Sanitair was schoon, douches altijd warm. Prima restaurant.

Camping LucherinoSuper quiet campsite and perfect for those who love nature and walking. Located among the hills and in the middle of nowhere you have the possibility both to move around visiting the surroundings and to stay and relax at the campsite. There is a swimming pool with umbrellas and sunbeds and a well-stocked library. The pitches are shaded but there are several horseflies, each location has its own electricity tower, and you can ask for an adapter at the front desk at no extra charge. The facility is not level, so every time you move from the tent you have to walk up or down. Plus there is no mini market or place nearby where you can get groceries every day. We happened on a Sunday and had to walk 20 kilometers to be able to buy anything. Other than that the staff is very helpful and the environment perfect for both short and long stops

Camping Podere Sei PoorteI agree with the previous reviews this year about the campsite. Large places ( at the reception they know which ones have shade, some are in full sun all day, see photo,)relaxed atmosphere, convenient payment system, friendly students and helpful owners and Maarten the man who can do everything. Also true that sometimes on t terrace you are not always helped competently. On a campsite I never make an issue of that but the prices are of level 'real restaurant' so you expect that service. Because of the heat we often sought the water like the river Marmitte dei giganti. Tip, skip the kayak ( a25 euro pp) and park at the bridge and follow the path down. The pool was also fine for the kids. We enjoyed our first Italian camping experience.

Camping Saint AmandApart from the swimming pool, which is quite nice, we had a very disappointing camping experience (in a tent). The pitches are mostly on slopes and quite small. As we have a large tent, we had called to ask about the size of the pitches, and our interlocutor had advised us to pay the "premium" supplement to be sure of having a large pitch, which we did, without however benefiting from a pitch that was really larger than the others. The reason would be that it was on the water's edge; indeed, there was a small stream which offered us a double ration of mosquitoes and suspended garbage (see photo). We didn't say anything, however, as it was one of the only sites with satisfactory shade, as many other pitches were largely exposed to the sun (see photos). Also, contrary to what is indicated on the site, the water points are not necessarily close to the pitches, and with only one toilet block for the whole campsite, they can be quite far away. The campsite is intended to be rather quiet, but we were disturbed at night by the continuous barking of dogs (presumably from a kennel located close to the campsite). What's more, we were often awakened early by agricultural work being carried out in an adjacent field, which could continue throughout the day (strimmer, tractor...). As advertised on the site, there's very little in the way of entertainment, and it's of an indigence rarely seen. For a campsite that claims to be family-oriented, the range of activities for children is also inadequate. On paper, there's a soccer pitch, bouncy castles and play areas... but they're all in direct sunlight, so they can't be used during the day! The sanitary facilities are fairly clean, except when the flush toilets break down (which happened at least 5 times in the 2 weeks we were there). What's more, toilet paper runs out several times a day, and there's no soap for washing hands. In case of urgent need in the middle of the night, you'll have to use a headlamp, as the toilet block is plunged into darkness. The water temperature is not adjustable. The setting suited me (but perhaps not everyone), except for washing up (too cold to do it properly). Like the campsite, we found the restaurant expensive for what it offered (e.g. €16 for a Nordic burger with 3 small pieces of salmon and salad). Finally, worst of all was the attitude of the managers, who showed a great deal of contempt for the clientele.
