A lovely campground in a beautiful location. The pool was very well maintained—that stood out right away. The restroom buildings, children’s bathrooms, and dishwashing area also looked clean and inviting. The fresh rolls were a real plus.

Since we hadn’t been camping in a while, we also noticed a few things that we think could be improved.

We didn’t know that the central restroom building is closed at night. We couldn’t find the code anywhere, and it wasn’t until we asked at the front desk that we were told the outdoor restrooms are actually open 24 hours a day. It would be helpful if this were clearly stated in the welcome information or flyer.

Ordering takeout at the snack bar is a bit inconvenient. A small awning or a display showing order numbers would be nicer.

The selection at the snack bar and restaurant is fairly limited if you want to eat something healthier. A simple salad or some raw vegetables would be a nice addition. Or some lettuce on a hamburger bun or cucumber.

The campground store has a great selection, but the opening hours are a bit limited during peak season. Ready-to-eat meals would also be a nice addition.

Rules regarding wristbands, parking, and scooters are strictly enforced. While this likely keeps the campground tidy, friendlier communication would make the experience even more enjoyable.

There was some confusion regarding parking because my car was announced twice with the wrong make and license plate number. As a result, I didn’t realize my car needed to be moved.

I also noticed that a lawn mower was sometimes driven relatively fast between the campsites.

We thought the indoor playground was still of good quality (though a bit too dark), as were the large soccer field and the colorful play area behind it; the pool was also clean and very well-maintained. The game with the poles was fun for the kids.

All in all, we had a wonderful vacation with many positive aspects and gained a valuable experience. With clearer communication and a few minor improvements, the experience would have been even better for us.

We recently returned from Le Pianacce Campground. Overall, the experience had its ups and downs, but unfortunately the negatives outweighed the positives, especially given the high cost of the stay.
​Strengths:
​Clean and comfortable accommodations: The mobile home we stayed in was spotless, and the beds were very comfortable.
​Peace and quiet and location: We appreciated that it wasn’t overly crowded, as well as the pleasant weather in the area and the beauty of the surroundings.
​The downsides (and why we won’t be returning):
​Missing kitchen equipment and amenities: For what we paid, it’s unacceptable that towels weren’t included. Furthermore, the kitchen was equipped with only the bare minimum: there was a shortage of cutlery, glasses, and pots and pans needed to cook multiple dishes at once. The internet connection was also practically nonexistent.
​Too strict hours: It really bothered us that practically everything closed at 7:00 PM, including both the pools and the convenience store. For a vacation, these hours are far too rigid, limiting evening activities or last-minute shopping.
​Lack of information about the campground (Inconvenient for infants/strollers): The campground should clearly inform guests that the grounds are full of steep inclines and declines. We went with a stroller for our son, who was just 20 days old, and getting around was really very tiring and exhausting.
​The big disappointment with the pool area and slides: We had chosen this campground specifically for the slides, which our son loves. Unfortunately, the play area with the slides wasn’t working. The only one that was open was a beige slide, but it ended in an area with almost no water. The photos on the website are a bit misleading if the facility isn’t actually open. Furthermore, the pool with the slide under the restaurant was freezing cold and unheated. Overall, there’s a clear lack of care and maintenance throughout the entire pool area.
​Pool not suitable for children: Since the play area was out of commission, we were forced to use only the large pool. Since there was no spot where the water was shallow enough, we had to constantly hold our 2-year-old daughter in our arms, without being able to relax. For this reason, during the last few days we had to go to Camping Etruria every day, where the children could safely touch the bottom and we parents could rest easy.
​Entertainment: Very disappointing and lackluster.
​In conclusion:
The campground has great potential, but the current management doesn’t live up to the price charged. Paying a high rate only to have to tackle strenuous slopes with a newborn, being unable to use the main facilities after 7 p.m., having the slides out of service, and having to go to another facility to let the children swim in peace led us to decide that we won’t be returning. It’s not worth the cost.

Stay from July 5 to 12, 2026, for six people. We booked a premium suite with a RIVER view. Upon arrival, we were in for a nasty surprise: the suite wasn’t finished. We would have appreciated being notified in advance to spare the children the frustration… We were accommodated in a nice, clean, and functional bungalow. If you like peace and quiet, I wouldn’t recommend the bungalows near the pool and restaurant, since you’ll be right in the middle of the nightlife.
We were able to enjoy our lodge starting on the third day—it was very nice and functional. Be careful, though, about safety for young children (the wooden floor is sometimes damaged, with many splinters). The loft bed isn’t suitable for young children or tall adults. The ladder isn’t very practical… but the riverfront location is simply exceptional and incredibly pleasant. You might want to consider putting up a fence to keep people from walking in front of the cabins. The staff is very friendly, responsive, and competent.

Purtroppo il soggiorno è stato breve, ma la scelta è stata molto fortunata. Posizione top per scoprire gran parte dell’isola, a breve distanza da tutto, ma senza alcun reale bisogno di spostarsi… relax, e spazi generosi, a breve distanza da una spiaggia bellissima, ampia e con deliziosi ristoranti in riva al mare. Personale gentile e tutti i servizi che possono rendere il soggiorno una vera vacanza.
