ZilverstrandWe had booked chalet Berkel 6 with explicit preference for air conditioning and waterfront location. We paid extra for this in advance and this was also stated in the booking confirmation. However, upon arrival we were assigned another chalet, without air conditioning and not by the water. At the reception we were told that there was no possibility to get an air-conditioned chalet. As compensation, we were refunded the preference fee paid and were allowed to have one free dinner in the "restaurant". The food was fine, but there was really no such thing as a restaurant: you order at the counter and pick it up yourself - more like a glorified snack bar. In addition, on day two I received an automatic email from EuroParcs asking how my first day was. In it I immediately reported that the smoke detector was not hung, had no battery and was past its inspection date. The CO detector had also expired. After three days with no response, I just bought myself a battery and put the smoke detector back on - whether it actually works, I do not know. There was no response to my report until I left, even though this is about guest safety. Photos of both detectors are attached to this review. The chalet itself was otherwise clean, but on the cramped side for five people. All in all, I find it disappointing that EuroParcs does not deliver what was agreed upon, offers limited compensation, and especially that reports about safety are completely ignored. For us this was the first and last time EuroParcs. Update 21-9-2025: 15-8-2025 called by a Europarcs Zilverstone employee. They indicated that the responses to the automatically sent mail did not come in due to a glitch. They would find out how this was all possible and get back to the above. It is now over a month on and nothing more heard from Europarcs....

Wij hadden chalet Berkel 6 geboekt met expliciete voorkeur voor airco en ligging aan het water. Hier hebben wij vooraf extra voor betaald en dit stond ook in de boekingsbevestiging. Bij aankomst kregen wij echter een ander chalet toegewezen, zonder airco en niet aan het water. Bij de receptie werd ons verteld dat er geen enkele mogelijkheid was om alsnog een chalet met airco te krijgen. Als compensatie kregen we de betaalde voorkeurskosten terug en mochten we één keer gratis dineren in het “restaurant”. Het eten was prima, maar van een restaurant was eigenlijk geen sprake: je bestelt aan de balie en haalt het zelf op – meer een veredelde snackbar. Daarnaast kreeg ik op dag twee een automatische mail van EuroParcs met de vraag hoe mijn eerste dag was. Daarin heb ik direct gemeld dat de rookmelder niet was opgehangen, geen batterij had en over de keuringsdatum heen was. De CO-melder was eveneens verlopen. Na drie dagen zonder reactie heb ik zelf maar een batterij gekocht en de rookmelder teruggeplaatst – of deze daadwerkelijk werkt, weet ik niet. Er is tot aan vertrek geen enkele reactie gekomen op mijn melding, terwijl het hier om de veiligheid van gasten gaat. Foto’s van beide melders zijn toegevoegd aan deze review. Het chalet zelf was verder schoon, maar voor vijf personen aan de krappe kant. Al met al vind ik het teleurstellend dat EuroParcs niet levert wat is afgesproken, beperkte compensatie biedt en vooral dat meldingen over veiligheid volledig worden genegeerd. Voor ons was dit de eerste en laatste keer EuroParcs. Update 21-9-2025: 15-8-2025 gebeld door een medewerker van Europarcs Zilverstone. Ze gaven aan dat de reacties op de automatisch verstuurde mail niet binnen zijn gekomen door een storing. Ze zouden uitzoeken hoe dit allemaal kon en terug komen op bovenstaande. Het is nu meer dan een maand verder en niets meer van Europarcs vernomen…

Lekker voor een dichte slagboom appen naar de bedrijfsaccount waar niemand reageert. Zwembad behoorlijk koud en douches defect. De groepsvilla perfect voor een groep studenten om helemaal uit te wonen, misschien een idee als de organisatie daarna wel een keer wat dingen zou herstellen die kapot zijn gegaan.

Oesterdam ResortWe booked a deluxe suite and were very satisfied. Beautiful large windows with great views, large bed, bathtub and shower. You also have access to the wellness. Which is not big but okay with again a very nice view. You have to be a little lucky with when you go. If there are more than 6 people, it quickly feels crowded. The staff was professional and friendly. We found the breakfast to be good. The buffet is large enough and you can still order eggs with bacon and pancakes. We also dined in the Bar & Lounge and enjoyed it immensely. The prices are not low, but you get value for money. Some of the dishes were really a flavor bomb. The cocktails were also good, by the book.

Wij boekten een deluxe suite en waren zeer tevreden. Mooie grote ramen met een prachtig uitzicht, groot bed, ligbad en douche. Je hebt ook toegang tot de wellness. Die is niet groot maar wel in orde met opnieuw een heel leuk uitzicht. Je moet een beetje geluk hebben met wanneer je gaat. Als er meer dan 6 personen zijn, voelt het al snel druk. Het personeel was professioneel en vriendelijk. Het ontbijt vonden we goed. Het buffet is voldoende groot en je kan nog eitjes met spek en pancakes bestellen. We hebben ook gedineerd in de Bar & Lounge en hebben enorm genoten. De prijzen zijn niet laag, maar je krijgt waar voor je geld. Sommige gerechten waren echt een smaakbom. De cocktails waren ook goed, volgens de regels van de kunst.

Waren auf der Durchreise nach Spanien eine Nacht auf dem Platz.Sind in der Dunkelheit angekommen wurden freundlich von einem deutschsrachlichen Mitarbeiter empfangen.
