Expensive for what they offer

The premium spot we originally wanted wasn’t compatible with the hedge, but they let us switch without any fuss. Almost everyone has this problem with the hedges—they really need to be trimmed back a bit! The food is delicious, and some of it is very reasonably priced. But everything kids like to eat and do costs money—and not just a little. Very few of the staff are friendly. The ice cream vendor and the baker really take the cake! A bubble waffle comes with two scoops of ice cream, but my daughter was only allowed to choose one flavor—not two—for some reason, and that costs €8.30. What a strange rule!
The restrooms are never clean—not at 6 a.m., not at noon, and not even at 11 p.m.—and there’s absolutely no soap and often no toilet paper left either! It’s outrageous!One of the cleaning ladies snapped at my daughter because her scooter, which she’d briefly leaned against the wall, fell over while she was in the bathroom. Now my 9-year-old daughter is too scared to go to the bathroom alone! This is completely unacceptable—I’m going to talk to the manager about this tomorrow!!That cleaning lady should leave her lousy mood at home and not take it out on innocent children!!!! €1,900 for 2.5 weeks is way too much for us—we won’t be coming back, and we’ll definitely warn others!!! You don’t have to love Germans, but a simple “hello” and “goodbye” should be the least they can do!!! I’ve never encountered such unfriendly staff anywhere, ever!!!!!! At the front desk, both day and night, everyone is very friendly—I want to honestly mention that and don’t want to take that away from anyone!

We agree with previous reviews. We found the restrooms to be quite outdated, and the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. There was fecal matter on the floor in some places, and cigarette butts and ash were scattered everywhere in the restrooms. In my opinion, a smoking ban here wouldn’t hurt. Overall, it’s clear that the campground has been converted into a vacation village with a primary focus on mobile homes. There’s not much space here for campers. We didn’t notice much of the noise from the common areas at our site, since we were parked with our trailer quite close to the front near the reception desk. From that perspective, it was fine.

The front section of the campground consists mainly of long-term campers who don’t have much in common with the general camping guests. Parking here among the permanent campers wasn’t particularly pleasant.

We found the pricing structure at the campground to be significantly too high. We didn’t use the pool with the kids because of the noise. We thought charging 28 € for beach access was too expensive, and the free beach area was much too small.

The restaurants on the beach—the ones not affiliated with the campground, located to the left and right—were significantly cheaper and offered comparable quality. We probably wouldn’t come back here, but would look for a different location instead.

We also didn’t find the sea particularly appealing. The breakwaters do create a lagoon-like atmosphere, but at the same time, they make the water seem very warm and murky. There was no refreshing relief to be found there. It’s fine for kids to splash around, but to cool off, it’s better to use the beach shower—also for hygiene reasons.

We stayed here in late August. Warm welcome, quiet location, beautiful scenery, lovely pool, and a chance to reconnect with nature.

A very nice, quiet campground in a beautiful location; the layout and site assignments are a bit odd, but it’s fine for one night. It’s a short walk to a fantastic, gorgeous beach, and Roscoff is accessible for free by bus or in 10 minutes by bike along a beautiful route.

A perfect week with my grandchildren... really spacious, very quiet campsites, and a well-equipped mobile home. We also loved how close it was to the village—within walking distance—as well as the lake and the Nature and Environment Center. The municipal pool, which is open without restrictions, is really great!

In the summer of 2026, we went on vacation to the Aminess Avalona Camping Resort. We had a wonderful vacation there. We rented a Comfort Family Home, and it was fully equipped with all the amenities. It wasn’t very spacious, but it was perfectly fine and spotlessly clean. Just like the entire resort, everything was very neat and clean. There was also plenty to do for all ages. They rented out various bikes, stand-up paddleboards, jet skis, etc. The pool was amazing—a beautiful infinity pool with a great view—and fantastic water slides. The various restaurants were also very good and offered a wide variety of options.
The supermarket was small and very expensive, but it had all the essentials.
The surroundings were amazing!! What a beautiful country—there are stunning views and incredible places to explore here! In short, we had a fantastic vacation.
