The campground is in the middle of the forest, so there's plenty of shade, and the restrooms are new and very clean.
The only downside is the bar and restaurant—they stop serving at 8:00 p.m. on a Sunday in early September, and the pool closes at 7:00 p.m.
It's a little early, but they adapt to their customers' needs...

We've been here two years in a row now and are still thrilled. The accommodations are top-notch, the lake is a dream, and there are so many things to do with kids within an hour's drive that we'll have enough to keep us busy for a few more years.

Camping Valkanela—a bit noisy but a great campground

PROS:
- Fantastic location: cool cove, islands in the sea, clean water, shallow entry for kids
- Restroom facilities well-maintained, high capacity, hot water no problem
- Wide range of sports activities, free for kids at the northern sports field
- Many water sports and boat tour options right at the campground
- Good natural shade in most areas of the campground
- Varied entertainment program (fire show, sports classes, tournaments, mini-disco)

CONS:
- Can get very loud in the evenings (noise from the sports field, live music/DJ until 10 p.m.)
- Early morning noise disturbances from departing neighbors (4:30–6 a.m.)
- Loud partying and noise in the evenings until after midnight
- High prices on-site (beach bars, kiosk, pool loungers)
- Pool is getting old, hardly suitable for swimming
- Poor enforcement of campground rules (e-scooters, cars, early departures)
- Little shade right on the beach

Location & Beach
A truly beautiful campground in a cool bay with islands in the sea. The water is clean, and the entry into the water is shallow—ideal for kids. There’s not much shade right on the beach, but there are several beach bars in a cool, pleasant setting; however, prices there can be high (e.g., a scoop of ice cream for 2.70 euros, a 0.2-liter Fanta for 5 euros).

Restroom facilities
It’s about a 4-minute walk to the restroom building (which also has a dishwashing area). Generally well-maintained, with plenty of space, and hot water is no problem.

Sports & Activities
Wide range of options: tennis, beach volleyball, table tennis on the beach, pedal boat and SUP rentals; many activities require a fee. At the northern sports field, children can play for free (soccer, basketball, table tennis, playground).

Pool
Toddler pool with a small slide and two additional pools. Not really suitable for swimming, but great for splashing around and cooling off. It’s not the newest—some tiles are coming loose—but we still enjoyed our time there. Two lounge chairs and a umbrella cost 20 euros; a pool bar and restaurant are available.

Shopping & Dining
A kiosk is available; prices are about 30–40% higher than at supermarkets, though this is relatively normal for a campground kiosk. Supermarkets are easily accessible by bike or car (5–10 min.). Beach gear available directly at the campground; slightly more expensive but convenient (e.g., adult beach shoes starting at 20 euros). Prices at the campground are generally high; restaurants in the surrounding area offer better value for money.

Entertainment
LED and fire shows on Wednesdays, plus water sports classes and evening tournaments (soccer, table tennis, beach volleyball). There’s also a mini-disco for the little ones.

Parking & Shade
Parking available right next to your tent, mobile home, or campsite; some access roads are very narrow. Natural shade is very good in most areas of the campground.

Quiet & Consideration
Biggest criticism: Significantly noisier in the evenings than other campgrounds, especially at the upper sports area until 10 p.m. (live music, DJ). On several days, neighbors packed up inconsiderately in the morning between 4:30 and 6:00 a.m., opening and closing doors, and leaving shortly before 6:00 a.m. Campers with RVs left their engines running for over 60 minutes to cool the interior with the AC. Additionally, children on e-scooters were left unsupervised; more consistent enforcement of the campground rules would be desirable. Every day around 8 a.m., there were leaf blowers near the mini-golf area.

Conclusion
A truly beautiful campground in a great location with clean water, good sports facilities, and decent restrooms—we enjoyed our stay there. Minuses for high prices, sometimes significant noise, and a lack of enforcement of the campground rules. If you factor those things in, you’ll find a very nice vacation spot right by the sea.

- totalny chaos na drogach i chodnikach, elektryczne hulajnogi, rowery, melexy obsługi jeżdżące z dużymi prędkościami
- bardzo wąskie chodniki w wielu miejsach, jadąc z wózkiem nie sposób się minąć z innymi
- pełno wypalonych papierosów na piaszczystej plaży
- brak odpływu szarej wody na parceli
- drogie i słabej jakości restauracje na campingu
- miejsca z „pieczywem” tak samo na minus, drogo i słaba jakość
- czystość w sali zabaw dla najmłodszych na placu zabaw koło recepcji była słaba!

Podsumowując, fajne miejsce, ale warto zadbać o bezpieczeństwo i jakość w niektórych tematach do poprawy.

Quiet surroundings during the day (apart from the train, but you get used to that quickly). It’s also quiet at night. The staff at the front desk are very friendly. There are LOTS of board games you can borrow, which makes it extra cozy. The only downside is the coin-operated shower, but I can kind of understand why🤗
We had a nice little getaway and feel completely relaxed again.

We traveled in a 6.80-meter-long RV. Our parking spot was very sloped; even with chocks under the tires, we couldn’t level it out. Also, we called ahead and were quoted a price of 35€ per night, but upon arrival, it was over 10€ more. They said the price they’d quoted earlier “couldn’t be right.” It was also very noisy, and the sites were really crammed together.

Super weekend prolongé avec ma famille et amis,la nouvelle direction et son équipe super bien, très réactive,des amis qui sont venus nous voir le samedi ont voulu rester dormir, la direction et son équipe ont tous fait pour leurs trouvé un mobile home , malgré le camping plein,la propreté est super et l'environnement aussi, bravo à eux pour leurs travails fait en si peu de temps 👍👏

Wir sind mit 6,80m langen Wohnmobil gereist, hierfür waren die Stellplätze etwas eng (bzw der Rangierbereich). Allerdings sehr schön gelegen unter den Pinien. Hatten kaum Mücken, der Poolbereich war mit kleinem Kind auch gut, da es auf der Wiese immer Schattenplätze & eine Rutsche am Pool gab, der Spielplatz war schön, es war überall sehr sauber und die Sanitäranlagen sahen sehr modern aus. Die Mitarbeiter waren ebenfalls immer sehr freundlich. Der Preis war absolut in Ordnung und wir waren sehr zufrieden hier!
