So far we have been very happy with our stay at Birkelt village. We are a family of 6 — 2 adults and 4 children, all 8 years and under. This is our very first experience with a campsite/chalet type accommodation, we are well travelled going abroad several times per year but we always book private villas or airbnb's, so this was a first for us. We are staying for 7 nights and this is currently day 3 — no major complaints and mainly very positive experiences! Our chalet is small and is in close proximity to the other chalets, but was very clean upon arrival and has well functioning a/c. I've seen other reviews complaining about lack of hot water but so far we've had plenty available and have all been having showers daily. I would say the proximity to the other accommodation is a bit close, but everyone around us have been respectful and kind, no obnoxious or loud guests at any times. We've visited the pool area once since arriving and whilst it was very busy (on a bank Holiday weekend), it was still enjoyable and the kids loved it. There is a large outdoor pool with cold water (which was nice as there has been a heatwave!) and a covered pool which is heated — this consists of a shallow pool, a deeper pool, a slip-and-slide along with a small splash pad. The pool also has a small designated café that serves pizza, sandwiches and snacks like donuts and cakes along with drinks. We've visited the on-site restaurant twice in the evenings and the food has been good both times — nothing sensational by any means, but the staff really are lovely and they're incredibly friendly and warm. In fact, all of the staff we've encountered so far whilst here have been so welcoming and kind, and they've been really great with our children too. We've very much enjoyed our stay so far at Birkelt village and would certainly consider returning in future!

Very good stay even if I can understand that the soccer atmosphere which reigned there during our few days could have disturbed certain holiday makers but that did not disturb us. Very pleasant pool, very friendly and attentive staff. Showers, toilets and pitches up to 3* standards. Our stay was positive and pleasant. Good season to you

Extended weekend go camping. For us the perfect location: Near Durbuy and Bomal, next to the Ourthe, great for cooling off. In the evening cozy a fire in a fire bowl that you can borrow there. Friendly staff. Here we come back :-)

Great family stay! A rejuvenating weekend with a change of scenery. Professional team, smiling and available. We stayed in a yurt and loved it! The bedding was very comfortable. The pool was natural and the site very pleasant, calm and in the heart of nature. We'll be happy to come back for another stay. I recommend it 100%. Chloé Barbaud Touzalin

We ourselves had forgotten to book a late check-out, our fault! When we called in the morning, unfortunately this was no longer possible. But we were with friends, their place was more than spacious enough, but it was ab-so-lutely not possible to put our caravan with them on the spot so we could spend the last day together. (Even for a fee this would have been fine for us) Reason.... they didn't want it... And it would be packed. Well it was crowded with people leaving, but I got pictures from those friends, the field was almost empty towards noon. Other than that, there was lots to do, fine campground, plumbing could be cleaner, all in all fine, except for the thoughtfulness of the front desk

Beautiful campsite at the foot of the illustrious Keutenberg. Centrally located in the middle of the most beautiful part of South Limburg. We had the tent lodge. A lovely place, everything was clean, neat, well arranged. Excellent swimming pool. Do not forget to try the local beer, brewed by the campsite itself?

We stayed in the dunes section of the campsite at the end of May. ATTENTION, the pitches are advertised as "Less than 80m²" but are really very small. We found it extremely difficult to pitch our 4 * 5 m tent. What's more, the pitches are not accessible from the road. We had to transport everything from our car to our pitch via other pitches. The photos of the pitches advertised on the website are completely wrong. We advise you to take the largest pitch possible if you are staying in the dunes section. Apart from this major drawback, the campsite is beautiful and very well maintained. The dunes area is quite nice and atypical. Cleanliness is exemplary, including in the sanitary facilities.

Very expensive,no wifi and plumbing is not clean,we have been coming here for at least 20 years but now it stops because nothing is done about it,dada,we choose a clean campsite,doeiiiii

We ate at the restaurant here and the food was delicious. The team were very friendly and the service was brilliant! We were a family of 11 and they handled our orders very well. The children rode on the Pedalo boats whilst we waited for the food to come. We had a perfect view of the sunset over the lake. Thank you for a lovely evening here. We will love to revisit in the future.
