Right on the beach; you can drive into the park in a designated area and park right outside the door. That’s why I give it 5 stars for the location. But that’s about it. The pool is small and dirty. Despite the swimming rules, the kids jump off the edge into the water and the lifeguard says nothing. Likewise, people are throwing hard balls around—no reaction. The rooms are poorly insulated; we booked four days and got four days of rain and falling hazelnuts at night. It was so loud at night that we had to catch up on sleep during the day. I didn’t know rain could keep me awake like that. There were no trash bags, no sponges, no soap in the bathroom, and no cleaning supplies. You have to bring your own towels and bed linens—or pay a hefty price for them. And all this for 1,200 euros for 4 nights. The playground is rather tiny, and the activities on offer are pretty lackluster. The food isn’t good. At home, the manager—watery surface, hardly any cutlery, small sofa, small bathroom!

We’ve camped here several times; it’s very suitable, though it does get a bit puddly when it rains—but then again, what campground doesn’t? Great for young kids, and there’s an entertainment center nearby for older kids. The terrace area is small and rarely crowded. There’s a beach and a small lake—really nice. Be sure to visit the water ski lake or try your hand at water sports yourself—it’s fun to watch. Taking a walk around the lake in sturdy shoes is also a lot of fun. Sevenum has a nice restaurant on the corner near the church. Panningen is also worth a visit. Venlo is a great city for shopping.

We ended up at the campground somewhat by chance, after our car broke down. The manager went out of his way to help us and ease our worries. Our stay went very well. The bungalow was very clean, and the campground was in a great location. In fact, we’ll be back for a real vacation!

We had an incredible week—the host really knows how to do his job and get the crowd going.

Everything just as it should be—well-maintained, top-notch service

This review covers my overall experience at Valamar Camping Lanterna. We booked our mobile home through Eurocamp, and as I understand it, Eurocamp is responsible for these mobile homes, not Valamar; therefore, my review focuses more on the surrounding area than on the mobile home itself.

What I really liked was how clean everything was. There’s a lot of staff, and the restroom facilities—which were renovated in 2026—are truly spotless. On that note, I’d also like to mention that there are often separate children’s restrooms with sinks at three different heights.

Another nice thing is that there are bakeries everywhere where you can pick up rolls, baguettes, or strudel in the morning.

I also really liked that the trash stations are well-spaced out and emptied regularly. I’ve had different experiences in the past.

Overall, there’s a wide range of activities, but you have to be aware that nothing is included in the price. I think €6 for 10 minutes on the bouncy castle is really expensive. You also have to pay for the lounge chairs at the beach or pool (to be fair, there are other places to put your stuff, though).

The grounds are huge, and I have to admit that I got lost twice before I found my mobile home (despite very clear directions). I recommend bringing a scooter, bike, or something similar; otherwise, you’ll have to walk a lot.

During our visit in August, the crowd was very diverse—lots of Dutch, Austrians, Poles, and Germans, but actually quite a few Croatians as well.

Overall, it was a nice vacation, and I’d definitely come back.

In one word... Amazing!! Today I got to see a show under the starry sky performed by a group of people who truly deserve to be called stars themselves! One team, one mission—and in this case, that means the entire hospitality staff, entertainment team, technical crew, front desk, and management are here during the day to assist you, serve you, and entertain you with a smile and expert knowledge...
But during this show—in this case, the Moulin Rouge—they all shine like real stars!
How does the management manage to bring together nothing but top-notch talent, both on stage and off... I want that golden tip… because the camaraderie really shines through!
This wasn’t some slapdash production, but a seriously well-crafted show!! Hats off!! We’re fans!!!!

We loved the campground. Plenty of restroom facilities. Finally, separate washrooms. All the information we needed was available on the campground’s app. The kiosk at the front desk had everything we needed to get by—and then some. We were able to set out on a great bike ride right from the campground.
There happened to be a food truck on site, so we didn’t have to cook. Great idea!!
The North Sea was practically right outside the door. The atmosphere at the campground was relaxed, and the staff was very friendly. Thank you very much.
